Tesary Lin is an Assistant Professor of Marketing and Dean’s Research Scholar at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business. Her research examines how privacy regulation, choice architecture, and algorithms shape digital markets and consumer welfare. Her work has been recognized with the John D.C. Little Award, the Sheth Foundation Dissertation Award, and the Alessandro di Fiore Best Paper Award. She was selected as an MSI 2025 Young Scholar.

Lin actively engages with policymakers on consumer privacy and digital market design, presenting her research to policy audiences at the Federal Trade Commission, the UK’s Ofcom, and the MSI-Brookings Institution. Her work has been covered by Bloomberg Law, The Conversation, and Mobile Dev Memo, among others. Lin holds a Ph.D. in Quantitative Marketing from the University of Chicago.
